Baton Rouge Police are investigating 2 fatal shootings, both of which occurred Saturday, less than 2 hours apart.
The first shooting took place around 2:20 pm inside of a vehicle at 2150 N. Sherwood Forest Blvd. Investigators found Charles Arnold, 29, of Denham Springs suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The second incident was reported at approximately 3:50 pm. Denika Jacobs, 20, of Baton Rouge was found outside of her Underwood Ave. residence, suffering from a gunshot wound. She was also transported to a local hospital where she later died from her injuries.
These incidents mark the 6th and 7th fatal shootings in Baton Rouge in 8 days.
Baton Rouge Police have no motives and no suspects in either case. Authorities urge anyone with any information to contact Crime Stoppers.
